POW/MIA MEMORIAL
Arnold House, Area C
Wright-Patterson AFB, OHIO

The flag is black, bearing in the center, in black and white, the emblem of the National League of Families POW/MIA. The emblem is a white disk bearing in black silhouette the bust of a man, watch tower with a guard holding a rifle and a strand of barbed wire; above the disk are the white letters POW and MIA framing a white 5-pointed star; below the disk is a black and white wreath above the white motto: YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN.

The National POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony is held annually in September.

The POW/MIA Memorial is located at the Arnold House, Area C, Wright-Patterson AFB. The marble memorial was erected by the Miami Valley Military Affairs Association (MVMAA) and dedicated on September 18, 1986, and in conjunction with the Wright-Patterson Chief's Group, the MVMAA has sponsored ceremonies at the site in September every year since.

The conclusion of the National POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony is the Formal Retreat Ceremony at the 88th ABW Headquarters performed by the Base Honor Guard.
